The successful candidate will provide direction and coordination of fundraising strategies for the Office of Student Life (Office); develop and implement long and short term plans to secure major gifts from alumni, friends, volunteers, corporations, foundations and other entities in support of the Office's and university's mission, objectives and priorities as set by the Vice President of Student Life; coordinate the Office's fundraising campaign activities, volunteers, and strategies. Required: Bachelor's degree required; six to eight (6 to 8) years experience in student affairs and/or fundraising (or a combination of the two) with a proven record of success in identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations; proven record of management of staff and/or projects that include goal setting, performance management, leadership development and strategic planning; excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills; some travel and evening work; and successful completion of background check(s).
