Central Ohio Chapter of AFP Committee Descriptions
Philanthropy Day
Responsible for the National Philanthropy Day celebration
Committees include nominations (for award recipients), event registration, sponsorships, communications/print collateral, and ceremony/program
Communications
Responsible for marketing, communications, public relations, chapter newsletter and Philanthropy Day communications
Programs/Education
Responsible for providing educational opportunities for Chapter members including monthly luncheons, special educational opportunities, and the educational component of Philanthropy Day
Membership
Responsible for member services including membership recruitment, retention, and annual meeting/holiday social
Scholarships
Responsible for reviewing scholarship applications and awarding scholarship monies available from the Chapter
Mentoring
The Mentoring Program provides chapter members with the opportunity for one-on-one assistance which will enhance their skills and knowledge as development professionals. The committee is responsible for the recruitment of Mentors and Mentees as well as overseeing the program.
Job Bank
The Job Bank Committee coordinates web-site postings for employment opportunities offered by local nonprofits.

Full Board Meetings will be held at the Main Library location of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, 96 Grant Avenue, 43215.
Executive Committee Meetings will take place in the conference room at Goettler Associates, 580 S. High Street in the Brewery District.
