To advance our professions and meet our mission, the Central Ohio Chapter offers
numerous scholarship opportunities annually to help qualified chapter members.
In 2010 we are proud to offer five membership scholarships, two scholarships to the
2011 International Conference on Fundraising and five scholarships to the
June 2010 Fundamentals of Fundraising course.

As part of the Central Ohio AFP Chapter's mission, each year we offer scholarships to qualified members to advance their knowledge and expertise in the field of development. Exciting scholarship opportunities have included local educational summits, the National Philanthropy Day celebration, and the International AFP Conference. Each year we seek to provide chapter members with those opportunities that best meet their needs.
We know the financial challenges of the last year have impacted professional development budgets in the nonprofit sector. As a result, we are excited to announce that the Central Ohio AFP Chapter will be offering -- for the first time -- five (5) scholarships in support of annual membership dues. Those selected to receive these scholarships will receive an award of $150 toward the $305 annual fee. The deadline for the first round of membership scholarships is July 31, 2010.
Also, on June 24-25, our Chapter will be presenting -- again, for the first time! -- the latest educational course from AFP, Fundamentals of Fundraising. Designed by an international team of development experts, Fundamentals of Fundraising will offer participants a complete overview of the development function, including current methodologies and techniques. This 2-day course will be taught by a diverse CFRE faculty and is designed for individuals with zero to four years experience. Five (5) full scholarships of $395 will be awarded; the deadline to take advantage of this invaluable educational opportunity is May 21, 2010.
