DESCRIPTION:REGISTER\nAs donors age and approach end of life\, nonprofits\, medical professionals\, families\, and legal advisors all face delicate ethical questions. What are the rights and duties of each party? How should nonprofits engage with aging or terminally ill donors in a way that respects autonomy\, avoids undue influence\, and protects organizational integrity? What clinical judgments affect decision points around capacity\, consent\, and disclosure? What are legal obligations under Ohio law for wills\, advance directives\, powers of attorney\, and other planning tools? \n \nThis panel brings together a legal expert\, a clinician from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center\, and a major gift officer to explore real-world scenarios. Through a mix of presentation\, case studies\, and facilitated discussion\, participants will gain tools to navigate ethical challenges in planned giving\, end-of-life planning\, and aging with compassion\, clarity\, and compliance. \nPending approval for 1.25 CFRE credits. \n\nPrice: CGPCO Members $0\, AFP Members $20\, Guests $35\nDue to space limitations\, registration is limited to first come\, first served.\nPre-registration required and the registration deadline is Friday\, October 10th at noon.\n\nThe first 30 minutes are dedicated to networking.
