DESCRIPTION:Announcing the next selection for the AFP Central Ohio book club!\nREGISTER \nThe next meeting of the AFP Central Ohio book club is coming up soon! Join us for a discussion with fellow fundraisers about books that inspire\, educate\, and encourage. Our next read will be: A New Era of Philanthropy\, by Dimple Abichandani. \nThis book poses the question: “Can philanthropy be an anti-racist\, feminist\, relational\, and joyful expression of solidarity?” Published in 2025 by a nationally recognized speaker and leader\, it promises to provide present and hopeful guidance for fundraisers who want to see social justice play a more prominent role in traditional systems of wealth and philanthropy. \nRegistration is free\, but space is limited\, so please reserve your spot below. \nREGISTER \nFAQs:\nQ: Do I need to buy the book?\nA: You do not need to buy the book; you do not need to bring a copy to the group discussion. You can borrow it from a friend\, share with a fellow fundraiser\, or get a copy from your local library! If you would like to participate in the book club but are not able to access a copy of the book\, please reach out to Natalie Dunn-Billings at natdunn17@gmail.com. \nQ: Can I still come if I don’t read the book?\nA: If you don’t have a chance to finish the book before August 28th\, you are still welcome to join us; however\, you may miss out on some of the substance of the conversation and will definitely get some spoilers. \nQ: What should I bring?\nA: If you have a copy of the book and would like to reference it\, feel free to bring it along. Otherwise\, all you need is yourself and your favorite FLD (Fun Little Drink).
