The Ohio Foundation of Independent Colleges, Inc. (OFIC), a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public foundation headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, represents 33 private, independent Ohio colleges and universities. OFIC is seeking an experienced Campaign and Grants Coordinator with a primary focus on grant writing. This position reports to the OFIC president. The successful candidate will work closely with development staff to accomplish annual and long-range fund-raising goals for corporations and foundations. Responsibilities, focused on corporations and foundations, will include planning and coordination of the annual campaign for OFIC, including solicitation and follow-up letters, pledge reminders, and acknowledgement letters. Grant writing responsibilities will include prospect research, proposal writing, grant submissions, and stewardship reports back to funders. This work will focus on entities in Ohio but will also include potential regional and national funders.
The person will work from OFIC’s downtown Columbus office. We are looking for a self-starter with ability to work independently and in coordination with OFIC staff, especially with the two OFIC regional vice presidents of development. The person selected will build positive, effective working relationships with all OFIC staff in a team environment.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred (may be substituted by relevant experience); minimum two years prior grant writing and administrative experience, preferably in a campus or non-profit environment; proficiency in Microsoft Office required; preference for donor database knowledge (Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, etc.); excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects; ability to work both independently and in a team; commitment to nonprofit work, sense of humor, and good interpersonal skills, desired.

Salary range for this position is $45,000 to $53,000, based on level of applicable experience.
