Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking a mission-minded Associates to join us as a full time (37.5 per week) Leadership Giving Officer with our Fund Development team.

 

SUMMARY

The Leadership Giving Officer is responsible for leading a comprehensive strategy to cultivate, solicit, and steward leadership gifts ($1,000 to $9,999, with targeted focus on gifts of $5,000+) across the affiliate. The Leadership Giving Officer will shape and lead peer-to-peer initiatives to grow the donor pipeline, and coordinate strategy and tactics with the gift officers responsible for major gifts, and planned giving programs. This position sets and ensures the Midlevel program will serve as the driving force to improving and deepening donor engagement and increasing philanthropic revenue by: significantly growing the donor base, increasing retention, collaborating with other key development stakeholders for an ongoing an seamless donor experience, and increasing annual operating revenue from donors at the level by building and implanting a robust and thriving pipeline.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In concert with the organization’s strategic priorities, develop, manage, and execute a strategy for Midlevel ($1,000-$9,999) donors that:Retains existing donors;
Increases the average gift size;
Expands the number of donors; and, position mid-level donors to become major-gift prospects and donors
Strategy should incorporate elements to leverage peer to peer outreach to further objectives.
Serve as primary contact for incoming calls and email requests from mid-level donors, soliciting feedback and tracking interactions in database.
Create and manage the Midlevel roadmap for future growth and stay on top of Midlevel trends.
Collaborate with Senior Director of Philanthropy and Leadership Giving team, develop and implement strategies for Midlevel acquisition, retention and upgrades, including creative design, messaging and data segmentation. Ensure plan dovetails with solicitations produced by the Leadership Giving team.
Collaborate with Senior Director of Philanthropy and key stakeholders on the Leadership Giving team, to develop strategies and materials to move select Midlevel donors to Major donor giving levels.
Collaborate with the Engagement Officer by providing strategic support for Midlevel donors in the Circle of Choice program to steward, retain, and upgrade donors.
Participate in prospect discovery and qualification calls, contacting and qualifying high-capacity prospects to identify and upgrade to Midlevel or Major donor status.
Collaborate with the Development Operations team in conducting ongoing evaluations of Midlevel giving, analyzing trends throughout the year and recommending changes to strategy.
Develop and track annual and comprehensive work plan for the Midlevel program.
Manage, steward and grow a portfolio of Midlevel donors with the primary goal of upgrading within the Midlevel program and into Major gifts and planned giving.
Contribute to the overall success of the Development department

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Minimum of 4 additional years of related work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
5 years of previous fundraising experience
