Position: Stewardship Associate

The network includes two high-performing middle schools and two high-performing elementary schools. We are seeking an Stewardship Associate to join our network.

Donor and Volunteer Stewardship
Ensures acknowledgements for each specific fundraising, tour or volunteer activity are complete and recorded.
Executes individualized stewardship efforts for specific campaigns, including managements of the development committee call log.
Improves and executes the strategic and time-sensitive plan to acknowledge event sponsors.
Oversees grant reporting calendar; ensures reports are submitted completely and on time.
Documents and maintains a library of donor and volunteer supported activities for use in stewardship materials, including photos, videos, and testimonials.
Manages the annual Volunteer Appreciation event and other events celebrating donor-supported projects.
Supports the creation and publishing of stewardship and cultivation materials, including the USN newsletter, media kit, annual report card, annual impact report, holiday card, donor welcome packets, and tour packets.
Recruits and cultivates volunteers annually to support school-based efforts, including the management of the Classroom Champions program.
Supports school-based teams with annual updates of design materials.
Works with school-based staff to ensure that the various programs and opportunities for enrichment and afterschool are funded and staffed, annually and in a timely manner.
Assists the CAO in planning and executing professional photoshoots annually to update network marketing materials.
Ensures board materials, including board meeting packets, on-boarding packets, and board rosters are accurate, and disseminated early or on-time.
Coordinates board meetings, including the retreat: scheduling, location selection, technology, supplies, and food.
Stewards board members through recognition; monitors and record board service including committee service and term-out dates, prepares appropriate recognition for post-annual campaign board celebration or board retreat.
Keeps accurate and informative records of development related meetings and sends to relevant parties.
Executes the annual communication strategy: works with CAO and Development Team to ensure communication to/meetings with board, staff, and key stakeholders are always timely and relevant.
Manages USN social media platforms to reach various volunteer, donor, talent, and alumni goals.
Supports the timely update of the USN website.

United Schools Network will consider hiring a Stewardship Associate with the following characteristics and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; 1-2 year minimum of fundraising experience preferred (internships qualify).
Technological proficiency in Google, Microsoft Office, and Adobe.
Personal and professional integrity with willingness to abide by the Donor Bill of Rights, the AFP code of Ethics, and the Development Team Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
Exceptional and warm interpersonal skills: ability to interact effectively with team members, community leaders, board members, prospects, donors, and a variety of volunteers.
Openness to feedback, a willingness to take personal responsibility for the affairs of the network, and the ability to learn from one’s mistakes.
Adept at navigating the trends and best practices surrounding various social media channels.
Able to genuinely convey information and emotion in writing and photography.
Terms of Employment
This position will begin immediately. The starting salary for this position is $38,000, benefits are competitive, and employees are eligible to participate in Ohio’s School Employees Retirement System (SERS). United Schools Network is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
