Who could have dreamed that this simple gesture would become a social media phenomenon that would quite literally soak the nation?  Join Debbie Beyer, Development Director at The ALS Association, for a look at the impact of the Ice Bucket Challenge and talk about how to turn the moment into a movement.

During this insightful talk, Alaina Shearer, founder and CEO of Cement Marketing, will discuss low cost digital tools that can be at your fingertips, and how to use them to increase online donations and broaden your donor base. She’ll point to tested case studies and also walk you through the tools available to you and your team, their cost and how to effectively use them to ultimately invoke engagement from your audience. 

 

About the Speaker:

Alaina Shearer founded Cement Marketing, a full service marketing firm, in 2009. A substantial amount of the firm’s clients are nonprofits, including Volunteers of America of Greater Ohio, Lifeline of Ohio, Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Justice League of Ohio. Cement was founded on the idea that true digital marketing begins with content, bootstrapping and working with tight budgets has always been the case for Cement having been founded in the middle of the recession. Before she started Cement, Alaina was a blogger and vlogger. Her YouTube channel (found at http://www.youtube.com/mssinglemama) racked up over 250,000 views and over 500 subscribers. Her website had over 2 million views and 30,000 unique visitors per month.

AFP Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Cancellations received in writing by the RSVP deadline are eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations received after the deadline will not be eligible for refunds as we will have already made a commitment to purchase your meal. You may, however, send a substitute guest.
