Reporting to CFAES Agricultural Operations Directors at Wooster and Waterman, this position provides fiscal support services to agricultural and field operations units for the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, including CFAES Wooster Ag and Field Operations, Feed Mill, Waterman Agricultural and Natural Resources Laboratory, and Chadwick Arboretum.  The position work environment consists of combination telework and on-campus two days per week based either at Columbus Campus or CFAES Wooster Campus. The position works with other office and finance staff team members to provide financial support services to ag operations directors, superintendents, managers, and staff. Works closely with CFAES Finance cost center manager related to fiscal  compliance. Duties include initiating purchase requests, journalize expense entries and transfers, interdepartmental billing, travel requests and reimbursements, resolution of accounts payable exceptions, PCard and asset management, and deposits. Submits vendor invoices, tracks vendor payments, and resolves exceptions with OSU Accounts Payable. Monitors expense categories for correct coding. Serves as department PCard manager.  Serves as department coordinator for equipment assets, tracking and disposal, including annual audit of capital and non-capital assets. Prepares monthly financial reports to reconcile general ledger. Tracks commodity sales, receipts, and transfers. Prepares customer invoices with Bursar’s Office and internal charges to OSU departments and programs. Summarizes and analyzes spending levels for purchase orders and takes action when adjustments are required.   Procures feed ingredients, commodities and supplies for feed mill operation. Performs data entry of feed inventory withdrawals, cost changes, summarizes weekly and monthly inventory reports and customer billing.  Performs high level of customer service to Wooster, Columbus and Statewide Campus operations managers, and other internal and external customers.  Responds to manager requests for financial information and assists in preparing documents for financial processes.  Advises managers on university and college procurement policies and processes. Serves as back-up fiscal associate to other units when required. Provides on-boarding support of new department hires/students, paperwork facilitation, key tracking and department specific process training. Follows university purchasing and college finance office policies and procedures. Maintains fiscal documentation and files. Attends regular department and college finance meetings related to work progress and fiscal process. Occasional day-travel to Columbus Campus and Statewide Research Stations. Assists with department events, other office functions and duties as assigned.  Position is eligible to be performed either on campus, via telework, or combination.

Additional Information:

The salary ranges for this position are $16.06-$21.42 per hour. The offer for this position will be based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
