Fundraising is a relationship-based, task-oriented career that requires a discipline for consistency, organization and memory, and a high level of attention to detail. For many professionals with ADHD, the typical advice given or strategies taught to achieve these skills are completely useless; strategies like powering through a tough to-do list, setting self-imposed deadlines, and doing the hardest task first can feel impossible for someone with ADHD.

Join Natalie Dunn-Billings, a professional fundraiser with ADHD, and a guest mental health expert to talk about why fundraising can be such a challenging field for someone with ADHD, why traditional workplace strategies don’t work, and what tactics might work better. This education session is meant for those who have been diagnosed with ADHD or feel they might have a neurotypical brain and want to learn how to give themselves grace and think differently about their professional life. It is also meant for anyone who would like to learn more about brains that work differently than their own and understand their colleagues and team members better. Note: this session is not meant to diagnose!
