Fundraising and ADHD: Why Can’t I Just Make This Phone Call

September 17 @ 11:30 am - 1:15 pm

- $20 – $35

Fundraising is a relationship-based, task-oriented career that requires a discipline for consistency, organization and memory, and a high level of attention to detail. For many professionals with ADHD or other types of neurodivergence, the typical advice given or strategies taught to achieve these skills are completely useless; powering through a tough to-do list, setting self-imposed deadlines, or doing the hardest task first can feel impossible for someone whose brain works differently.

Join Natalie Dunn-Billings, CFRE (a professional fundraiser with ADHD) and Jason Duffield, LPCC (a therapist and mental health specialist trained to support neurodivergent brains) to talk about why traditional workplace strategies don’t always work, and what might work better. This education session is meant for: those who have been diagnosed or feel they may have a neurodivergent brain, who want to learn how to give themselves grace and think differently about their professional life; or anyone who would like to learn more about how to support colleagues and team members who are neurodivergent.
