DONOR RELATIONS COORDINATOR – Columbus

Organization:                Cornerstone of Hope, Inc.

Position Status:            Full-Time (Will consider 32 hours/week candidates)

Work Schedule:            8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday

Reports To:                    Executive Director – Columbus

Salary:                             $50-$60K per year based upon proven experience

Job Description: The Donor Relations Coordinator will support all philanthropic efforts of our Central Ohio programs that benefit children, teens, and adults who seek support after the death of a loved one. The qualified candidate will join our existing Development Team to focus on securing financial gifts to support our cause from major donor proposals, event sponsorships, structured giving campaigns, government relationships, and Cornerstone of Hope events and programs; and to increase awareness of and exposure to our services throughout the community at all Cornerstone of Hope locations.

Responsibilities:

Cultivates Individual and Corporate Donors (40%)

·         Increases giving of existing donors

·         Conducts prospect research and cultivates relationships with new individual and corporate donors

·         Develops plan to engage past clients

·         Nurtures relationships with existing partners and develops partnerships with new prospects

Event Fund Raising (30%)

·         Secures new and existing donors to support major fundraising events each year

·         Assists in planning and executing all major fundraising events in collaboration with current Development Team and with administrative support

·         Oversees and increases the number of third-party fundraisers

Annual Fund/Camp Campaign (20%)

·         Develops a customized strategy to engage and increase donor participation

·         Manages campaigns to attain the budgeted fundraising goal

·         Coordinates with current Marketing Team the annual mailer and oversees its delivery

·         Tracks and reports campaign progress and results

Community Outreach/Team Collaboration (10%)

·         Develops relationships throughout the entire community to create awareness, increase service efforts, and promote education pertaining to bereavement

·         Represents Cornerstone of Hope at various annual conferences, forums, and community events

·         Works collaboratively with current grant writer, marketing team, leadership staff and Board of Directors

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Passionate and skilled cultivator of relationships

·         Proven fundraiser or direct sales experience

·         Superb written and verbal communication skills

·         Excellent organizational and time management skills

·         Good computer skills and experience with donor/fundraising software like Little Green Light and Give Smart

·         Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field preferred

·         Event planning experience a plus
