“To Affinity and Beyond”
Let’s talk about affinity groups and how they can help you truly engage with donors in meaningful ways that result in sustained and increased giving. Come and learn if launching an affinity group is a good fit for your organization, and if so, how to go about it. Already have an affinity group? We’ll share best practices for staffing the group, keeping donors engaged and tips on troubleshooting. Hear tales of affinity greatness and ones of woe—so you know what to do and what not to do.
Our Presenter: Betsy McCabe is Senior Director of Resource Development at United Way of Central Ohio with the primary responsibility of managing the Tocqueville Society ($10,000 plus donors). “Paradigm Shift: Creating a Culture of Philanthropy”
Today’s information age is transforming the way we communicate, work, socialize, and, fundraise. This is forcing nonprofits to question the traditional wisdom about resource development that may no longer be as applicable to ensuring long-term sustainability.
This month’s educational luncheon will include presenting the latest research and trends in building a culture of philanthropy -outlining the paradigm shift from a fundraising culture to a philanthropy culture to help nonprofits thrive.
Our Presenter: Russ Hodge, CFRE, and Principal of The Hodge Group, a national synergistic fundraising, management, and branding firm dedicated to helping nonprofits and associations fulfill their mission. His hands-on management style and innovative fundraising technique has been the blueprint for his success in achieving philanthropic goals for a variety of organizations. Over the past thirty years, Russ has provided strategic planning and fundraising leadership to hundreds of nonprofit organizations, raising close to $1 billion. He has also recruited, trained and hired more than 100 senior development officers for various organizations.
