July Monthly Education Program – Cocktails and Calamities

AFP FREE EDUCATION SERIES

Open to all nonprofits in Central Ohio – Members AND Guests
“Cocktails and Calamities”

Tuesday evening, July 14, 2015
5:00 – 7:00PM

Fundraising is all about building and nurturing relationships—with donors, with volunteers, with our bosses.  Yet, in every fundraising professional’s life, there comes a time when your best intentions go awry.  There’s no lunch program in July – instead, join us for this free and fun Tuesday evening social and educational time filled with laughter and stories. You’ll have the chance to learn from some of Central Ohio’s most seasoned professional fundraisers on how they handled their own calamity situation by mending a relationship with a donor, salvaging a special event, or appeasing the demands of board or leadership.

Our distinguished seasoned professionals include:
Doug Allinger
Cynthia Anderson, CFRE
Bill Bartolini, ACFRE
AJ Casey
Suzie Childs
Marilyn Frank
Diana Newman, CFRE
Jeff Redfield
Norma Sexton, CFRE
Joanne Spoth, CFRE

Beginning with a TED talk format, you’ll hear a one-minute snippet from each. Then you’ll get to choose three of the presenters to find out “the rest of the story” during rotating roundtable discussions. Take advantage of their experience by learning how they handled the problem, their lesson learned, and how you might prevent or prepare should you find yourself in a similar situation.

Bring your business cards!

Adding to the evening of learning and laughter, attendees who provide their business cards will be entered into drawings for gift cards from area eateries and watering holes.

Appetizers and a first drink are on us – as long as you pre-register by July 7 to let us know you’ll be there.  Cash bar for the rest of the evening.

Seating is limited – first-come-first-served. AFP members will receive this announcement a few days in advance of the general public and can register themselves and their guests before we open registrations to non-members. But act fast because we don’t expect the seats to last long!
