June is Recruitment Month at Central Ohio AFP.  With this in mind, join chapter members for a speed networking session to make new connections and understand the benefits of membership.  Learn about our affinity groups, which are informal special-interest groups that are free to join and a great way to start your involvement with AFP. Leave with new LinkedIn connections, a new AFP buddy, and fresh ideas to implement in your own work.

Mission Storytelling
 

All sales professionals understand the importance of the “elevator pitch.” However in fundraising, our greatest asset for inspiring donors and securing donations is through storytelling. Do you have a polished story handy that makes a compelling case for your mission? Have you practiced delivering it and how do donors react to it?  
Learn from your peers about how to craft a compelling and emotional story that is tailored to your audience. Often, networking is a matter of forming relationships and building support for your interests. Everyone, from Development Directors to volunteers and board members, can benefit from practicing their storytelling.
