“Collaborative Conscience – Similar Issues in 2017”

As fundraisers review 2016 and look ahead into 2017, many wonder what the year may bring.  Issues vary by organization and also from position to position based on responsibilities.  You may be asking “are others like me concerned about this too?” and this session will give you the opportunity to ask.  Developed based on member feedback, our opening 2017 pre-session will be an opportunity for roundtable questions and discussion with others with similar roles or experience as you.  Join our guest educators/group leaders for our “Collaborative Conscience” discussion and breakout by job role affinity (such as major donors, supervision, small shop, etc.).  As participants register, you will be asked to identify your primary roles/responsibilities which will then determine our breakout groups.

Noon – 1:15PM  Lunch Program open to Members and Guests

“Trends in Philanthropy for 2017

Trends in philanthropy are always changing.  Regardless of your roles and responsibilities, thinking ahead, planning, and staying abreast of trends is critical for both yours and your nonprofit’s annual success. Join us to learn from a highly respected panel of central Ohio leaders and community members associated with fundraising, philanthropy, and nonprofits.  Each panelist will share his/her perspective about the upcoming trends in philanthropy for 2017 and the session will also include the opportunity for Q&A.  As participants register, you will be asked to identify your primary roles/responsibilities which will then determine our breakout groups.

Panelists Scheduled Include: Michael F. Curtin, former Ohio House of Representatives and previous Dispatch editor; Dr. Lisa Courtice, Executive Vice President at The Columbus Foundation, and John C. Woods, J.D., Assistant Vice President, Gift Planning at The Ohio State University.  Moderated by Emily Campbell, Director of Development, Columbus Academy and Past President of AFP Central Ohio Chapter.
